Spectrum of lower urinary tract symptoms in the women attending gynecological OPD in a tertiary care hospital in Northeast India

<b>Aim:</b> Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) are common conditions seen in women of all ages and by clinicians nearly specialties. The prevalence LUTS has been measured numerous epidemiological studies around the globe. However, there insufficient data from India, particularly among consulting gynecology clinics. This observational study was conducted to determine proportion attending Gynecology OPD.<br /> <b>Material methods:</b> For evaluation, a standardized, pretested, structured, scored Bristol questionnaire containing sociodemographic information clinical history symptoms utilized. were classified as storage, voiding, stress symptoms. Each response received score between 0 4. Patients categorized into no/minimal (score1–7), moderate (score8–19), severe (score&gt;20). In our study, 48% Gynecological OPD had LUTS. Age vaginal delivery significant influence on incidence LUTS.<br <b>Results:</b> Despite high LUTS, few patients spontaneously reported underreporting may be due lack awareness well social stigma.
